Reciprocal Linking Is Dead

Oh my…good heavens…and what a great day to be alive!

Everybody knows it’s important to get links coming into your site.

Not everyone knows reciprocal linking is dead.

Wake up! Reciprocal linking is DEAD!

The search engines have become wayyy too smart, and recognize when two sites are linking back and forth to each other. This worked like a charm until recently. The big boys search engines have changed their tune in a big way.

Don’t get me wrong…reciprocal links will not hurt you, but they no longer carry the weight they used to. Too many people simply abused the system and the game has changed.

If you do not give a hoot about your sites ranking in the search engines, play a little Pac Man Widget while you wait on the rest of us.

Create Web Page Widgets

I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to get back to this, as I’ve meant to add this post for some time to those whom requested an easy way to create Widgets for a web page.

Now, don’t get confused, it’s Google who is lost here…they call Widgets, "gadgets".

It’s obvious to any intelligent life that if a gadget was a Widget, it would be capitalized. Obviously it is not, so I’m not even sure gadget can technically be called a word. ;)

It’s ok… we can’t all be smart and know every proper term. I mean… just think about how many words there are in the English language. Google is so busy thwarting off spammers, they have not had a chance to catch up with what the public now calls Widgets. They’ll catch on soon, I’m sure!

That said, if you are loloking for an easy way to create a WIDGET, here’s an awesome resource from the folks that barely know it’s name.

Create a web page Widget.

Pretty cool source and very easy to use. My grandmother could probably use this one.

If you are just looking to insert Widgets into your existing website, follow this link:

Google Goes Mobile Phone

October 30th, 2007 admin Posted in Widget Developers, Money Making Widgets, Marketing Widgets, Widget News, Advertising Widgets, Google Widgets No Comments »

Ideas for a Widget???

I picked this info up from my mastermind group (name withheld) and the Widget wheels started spinnin’. I’ll bet you can see what I’m thinking!!!

After months of speculation, details of Google’s carefully-guarded plans to dominate the mobile phone industry have been revealed. Google will provide a phone service supported by ads. Handsets will be produced by HTC and LG. Phones would run with an open Google operating system and will come already configured with a bundle of the most popular Google services, such as Google search, Google Maps, YouTube and Gmail.

The Wall Street Journal says that within two weeks Google will announce plans to bring Google-powered phones to market by mid-2008. Apparently, Google’s goal is to make applications and services as accessible on cellphones as they are on the Internet.

Google + YouTube + Adsense = $

October 25th, 2007 admin Posted in Blog Widgets, Widget Developers, Money Making Widgets, YouTube, Wordpress Widgets, Marketing Widgets, Google Widgets, Advertising Widgets, Widget News, Widgets 3 Comments »

Well, we knew it was only a matter of time before the online video revolution would start to pay off in a big way, and Google has come to the rescue! Why am I not surprised it’s Google? Especially since they purchased YouTube.

I discovered this by accident when logging into my Adsense account, and notice there is now an option to start making money with YouTube video being displayed on my blog or websites.

Create customized AdSense-enabled video players for publishing to websites or blogs, using keywords or pre-selected premium content. You can change the colors and contents of a player

I’m impressed!

Though there has been some debate in the online world if this is a good thing or not, I am personally happy to have another stream of potential revenue. Especially since I have been displaying video anyway. Plus, the ads are not intrusive and you have the ability to hide the ad if you so choose.

One issue I have is the limited number of sizes Google YouTube offers. I was not able to enter them into my BankDotCom.com sidebar widget without throwing the whole blog off kilter. The only sizes to choose from are:

400 x 415 - 500 x 510 - & 780 x 560

Come on GoogleTube. Help the Widgetman out!!!

These sizes are wayyy too small to insert into side bars on a blog which led me to create a single page for displaying Google YouTube video.

Hopefully, they will soon offer the ability to resize the video to the authors choice so more bloggers will be able to add google YouTube Adsense to their sites.

Whatcha think?

PowerGadgets

September 19th, 2007 admin Posted in Widget Developers, Cool Widgets, Marketing Widgets, Advertising Widgets 5 Comments »

I don’t give a hoot-nanny whatcha call it!

Widget—-Gadget–Spidgit—-WHAT EVER!… Where did these guys come from, and just what the heck is a "PowerGadget?"

By the way, Spidgit.com was available at the time of this writing. What? Spidgit is a cool name! Register Spidgit.com as your domain.

If you’re not a Windows Vista user, you will likely want to get the heck out of here now. I have several computer and one of them happens to have Vista, so here goes my post. You may want to visit their site tho just to see the graphics. Seriously!
What an awesome looking site!

No! not Spidgit…PowerGadgets.com. The depth of the picture in the header was enough to play tricks with my brain. I swear that girl frenched me……………so what? I sometimes have my face accidentally close to my monitor??? Doesn’t everybody? Take A look

Anyway…The aesthetic quality makes you almost buy the product simply because its so appealing. Sounds like a kick ass product to boot! I’m seriously thinking about this one.

From the PowerGadget site: "PowerGadgets is a revolutionary new data visualization product that utilizes Windows PowerShell, Microsoft’s new scripting shell, to allow the creation of Gadgets in Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server Longhorn.

PowerGadgets requires no complex development environments, servers or browsers to run real-time Gadget components such as charts, gauges and maps on your desktop or in the Windows Sidebar."

Check out thier PowerGadget video tutorials that show the power of real-time monitoring and reporting on your Vista desktop and Sidebar.

There’s an additional video which shows how to create PowerGadgets by piping cmdlets via Windows PowerShell.

Any users of this product have an opinion?

I’m back to gadget…I mean Widget. Cya!

BlogRush Widget Tips

September 19th, 2007 admin Posted in Blog Widgets, Widget Developers, Money Making Widgets, RSS Widgets, Wordpress Widgets, Widget News, Marketing Widgets, Advertising Widgets 6 Comments »

Yes, the great BlogRush is on.

Grab your shovel and start digging cuz this baby is sparkling gold!

If you are a blogger and do not yet have the BlogRush Widget, you are losing free traffic. It’s as simple as that. In just 3 short days, and a relatively new blog, I have managed to earn 8,123 credits. Not too shabby and best of all it’s freakin free traffic by simply installing the BlogRush Widget.

BlogRush Widget Tips???

If you have installed already, be sure to read this interesting post regarding ways to create your posts to optimize your BlogRush click thrus. Some really great points and debatable suggestions are made and worthy of discussion.

I’m "all in" for a clean looking blog…but remove my Digg button? Remove my social networking icons? Is it really that big of a deal?

Personally, I would recommend SnowBoardJohn (the poster) add a little jazz to the blog the post was made from so we can see how big a genius he really is. Maybe a social bookmarking icon would add a little color to his blog and make my eyes go mmmmmm, this guy knows what he’s talking about.

I do like most of what he says, and especially the way John posts a link at the bottom of each post which reads If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

Soooo. If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

Anybody seen my Widget?

BTW, if you have not seen the BlogRush video yet, here ya go…

PayPerPost Blog Widget

September 16th, 2007 admin Posted in Money Making Widgets, Widget Developers, Blog Widgets, Advertising Widgets No Comments »

What a concept!

In fact, I am beginning to think I am getting in on the online Widget game a little too late. I know this is not true, because Widgets are just getting started, but every idea I’ve had for Widgets are beginning to pop up everywhere.

Yesterday it was Blogrush.com!

Today, it’s…PayPerPost

I’m going to try to stop thinking so everyone can’t grab my ideas!

Damn thought snatchers!!!

PayPerPost claims to have a network of 50,000 bloggers who will make a post on your behalf (for a fee). You simply paste a Widget into your blog and wait for someone in the network to take you up on your offer. You control how much you are willing to pay as well as the quality of the post. Be sure to watch the PayPerPost video on their website located at this link to PayPerPost.com Once there, click on the “I need More Information” button.

Here’s what PayPer Post has to say about their product:

PayPerPost Direct is a widget that extends our marketplace to allow our Bloggers to deal directly with new or existing PayPerPost Advertisers. The system is designed to facilitate the marketing, negotiation, payment processing and tax reporting required in order to successfully complete a sponsored post transaction.

I say…Damn! Another idea beat to the punch.

This is a great product and by no means all they have to offer. Be sure to see PayPerPost Marketplace as well. Both of these products are tempting to sign up for right away.

PayPerPost has an array of sites which bloggers may find useful. For example, “Zookoda enables you to send a daily, weekly or monthly summary of your latest blog posts directly into your visitors’ inboxes” and for fun, the “Bloggers Choice Awards”. To view their list, go to pay per post affiliate sites

I must admit, I am impressed with the idea and quality of this site. So much so, I hope they have an affiliate program where I can begin promoting their product to some of my targeted marketers websites as well. In fact, I must run to get an email out to them ASAP.

Uh…”has anybody seen my Widget?”

DealDotCom

September 15th, 2007 admin Posted in Money Making Widgets, Widget Developers, Not A Widget, Advertising Widgets 10 Comments »

I just got an email about this and wanted to send you a personal invitation to check it out. This is by INVITATION ONLY until next Tuesday September 18th.

Go to their home page before Tuesday and you’re outta luck. Just a countdown to launch date.

If you’re reading this after launch, well….you’re a little late, but, better late than never! Right? If my hunch is correct, DealDotCom.com is going to be a big winner.

Before I get into the details, you can take a big deep breath and relax. This is not about the latest/greatest Widget or anything like that.

It is about thinking ahead

Which one of you Widgetheads will be the first to create a Widget for this bad boy?

If you act fast, you can easily profit from this new no-cost service (and earn passive income) before it goes incredibly viral starting next Tuesday.

This is truly a case of ‘the early bird catches the worm’.

Here’s the scoop…

FACT: Many of us buy products online all the time –software, ebooks, information products, PLR packages, scripts, etc. Well… recently Jason Potash & Marc Quarles came up with the ingenious idea of having a “deal a day” site just for Internet Marketers like us. You’ve heard of Woot.com. Right?

Well… it’s similar, but with Internet marketing products.

A new deal everyday on great products. You know… the exact same (new or existing) products that you’ve been meaning to buy, but were holding out for a better deal.

The QVC of Internet resources! 365 days, 365 killer bargains!

Sure, everybody loves a great deal.

But, even better… now you can PAID by simply telling your friends, subscribers, forum buddies and customers to check out this new site.

The doors are closed right now, but DealDotCom is launching in a few days. At this moment and up until next Tuesday, the 18th, their home page only shows a clock countdown to the grand opening.

Did I mention it’s free?

Even if you’re reading this months from now, this opportunity will just be getting started, but imagine if you get in now!

Before everyone else starts talking about it, go grab an account from my *private* link and start spreading the word:

DealDotCom.com

The sooner you get onboard (and lock-in new members you refer), the better your odds of generating some hefty commission checks on 365 different products.

I’ve already signed up and that’s why I am letting you know about it today.

Here’s that link again. DealDotCom

My deal to you….the first 15 who submit “quality, money making Widgets” will receive a permanent link back to your website or blog from this post.

The Top Widget, as judged by me, will receive free lifetime access to RedneckGurus.com, an Internet marketing members only website. ($197 value)

Whatcha waiting on?

This is too easy!

Git bizzie!

Money Making Widgets

September 12th, 2007 admin Posted in Widget Developers, Blog Widgets, Marketing Widgets, Finance, Advertising Widgets No Comments »

I have been marketing affiliate products for over a decade and it was natural for me to want more widget tools to help me continue my efforts.

I was about to embark on gathering information for “money making Widgets“. It didn’t take long to discover wildman, Derek Anderson at WidgetsLab.com had already started such a list of sites.

What a concept! Widgets to help you make money.

Another to add to his list might be the Shop Widgets Program from Shopping.com

My job is done! Whew!

Also, I am seeking a Widget programmer who can help me develop a Widget idea related to the pay per click model. I say “programmer” because I believe this may be a little more involved than your average Widget. If you are interested in discussing, please use my contact form widget and leave a best time and number for me to call.
